Part 1 One of the things I hear the most is how do I write an Essay. It is rather easy to do if you put in the time. Here is a step-by-step process to write an Essay.
1. Research a topic, cut and paste any site you visit into your paper. Even if you did not use the info.
2. Find three things about your topic to discuss. Write the intro and conclusions based on those three things such as in this writing I will discuss topic 1 topic 2 and topic 3. The conclusion should mirror the intro such as in this paper we discussed topic 1 topic 2 and topic 3.
3. I conclude the following from this paper. Write the body discussing the three topics. The most interesting details about the topics that allow you to conclude an issue or topic. Make sure to cite anything you use. direct quotes or paraphrases.
Citing depends on your paper's audience. I prefer Chicago Turabian, but others may use MLA or APA. Owl Purdue is a great place to get cite information.
4. Add the intro and conclusion to the body of the paper. Top it all off with a reference page and Title page.
5. Some papers may require additional info such as a glossary, appendix, and a table of contents. Though this should be used depending on the paper topic and audience. In the end put your references that you may or may not have used. This adds to the merit of your paper.
6. There you have it a paper that needs to be proofread now and turned into your teacher for a sure A+ This set up matters more than the actual paper itself. You will get less dings on minor mistakes, which if you proofread should not happen.
